Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm June 5 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Cheriton Cross carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Hask Lane to Cheriton Cross.

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm June 29 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 lane closure for barrier repairs.

A30, from 8pm June 30 to 6am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Fingle Glen carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion 2000-2200 Hask Lane to Cheriton, diversion 2200-0600 Hask Lane, Goldcross Hill and Huishlane End to Whiddon Down.

M5, from 10pm June 30 to 6am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 lane closures for white lining.

M5, from 8pm July 4 to 6am July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 lane closures for white lining.

M5, from 8pm July 6 to 6am July 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 entry and exit slip closed for white lining. Diversion for exit slip via, junction 28 and back. Diversion for entry slip via, junction 26 and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
