Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 10pm June 30 to 6am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 lane closures for white lining.

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm July 4 to 6am July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 lane closures for white lining.

M5, from 8pm July 6 to 6am July 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 entry and exit slip closed for white lining. Diversion for exit slip via, junction 28 and back. Diversion for entry slip via, junction 26 and back.

M5, from 8pm July 10 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 lane closure for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
