Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm November 17 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 entry slip carriageway closure with hard shoulder closure on the main line for electrical works, diversion via M5, junction 26 and return.

M5, from 8am to 3pm on November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27, hard shoulder closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 exit slip closed - for resurfacing works, diversion via - M5 northbound, junction 28, and return southbound to exit at, junction 29.

M5, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 27 - lane closures for road markings work.

A30, from 7am November 24 to 4pm November 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Cheriton Bishop to Whiddon Down - lane closure for inspection/surveys.

A30, from 8pm November 24 to 6am November 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Cheriton Cross exit slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via A30 eastbound to Alphington and return.

A30, from 8pm November 26 to 4am November 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Woodleigh - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
