THE resurrection of the local band, Lurv Handles was enjoyed by many at a sensational Halloween 70’s Night at Sandford Parish Hall on Saturday, October 28.
The proceeds the night went to ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund) who organised the event.
The band, with Celeste Peachey (vocals, guitar and Kazoo), Mike Langhorne (vocals guitar and keyboard), Rich Tuckett (vocals, drums and effects) and Russell Jupp (bass and vocals) performed a selection of popular music from the 70’s and rocking Halloween tunes.
Steph Heard and Lisa Tuckett performed a dance routine on the stage while the band played. Guest appearances were made by Jon Tuckett who sang "American Pie" and Andy Hitchcock who played keyboard.
The appreciative audience also enjoyed a show of lasers, smoke and lights (operated by Jo Ward), the hall was decorated with a spooky Halloween theme.
Many were dressed for Halloween, or the 70’s, and some a combination of both. They danced the night away and joined in with many of the songs such as Queen’s "Somebody to Love."
