The memorial represents those who fell in conflict in both World Wars and since from the town and surrounding villages.
There had been a short service in the Parish Church, taken by the Rector of Crediton, the Rev Matthew Tregenza.
Everyone then walked to join those already at the War Memorial, Mr Tregenza being joined by Pam Murphy for Crediton Methodist Church.
Also there was Mr Stewart Fleming with the 14 months-old German Shepherd dog Jay, named in memory of Mr Fleming’s son, Lance Cpl Jamie Fleming who died in 2014.
Mr Fleming’s year of puppy walking comes to an end next month and Jay will begin training as a police dog in January.
The Mayor of Crediton and Chairman of Crediton Hamlets Council took the salute of the parade at Market Street to conclude the parade.
