THE dining room of Hillbrow Residential Care Home was recently transformed into a French Cafe for the afternoon with checked tablecloths, French music and flags.

The residents sampled different foods from France including cheeses, pates, bread, apples, croissants and pain au chocolat, accompanied by some French wine.

They were joined by Community Champion, Andrew Drayton and his colleague, John Smith from the Crediton Tesco store at Wellparks.

The food and wine was kindly donated by Crediton Tesco and the residents enjoyed chatting with each other and their visitors.

Andrew and John have visited Hillbrow before and have joined in with pumpkin carving and Christmas craft - the residents always look forward to their visits.

Other cafe afternoons are being planned and the residents are currently deciding which country they travel to next on their culinary journey.
