ENTHUSIASTIC foodies, Amy Oboussier and Alison Orchard are embarking on an exciting project to write a community cookbook for Crediton.
They aim to publish in Autumn 2023, with 50 per cent of the profits going to Sustainable Crediton and the Food Bank.
The project was inspired by our local community larder and a desire to share knowledge about reducing food waste in our town. Amy and Alison want to highlight the amazing produce we have here in mid Devon, in our gardens, hedgerows, fields and market.
They are looking for recipes from people living in Crediton and the surrounding area.
The recipe could be a quick weeknight dish, a dinner party show-stopper, a rustic meal or an old family recipe. Both sweet and savoury dishes are welcomed.
Recipes should ideally be inspired by locally available ingredients. They are especially looking for traditional recipes from the area, in the hope that this cookbook will preserve these recipes for future generations.
Recipes included in the book will be credited and the author will get a free copy of the book.
To submit a recipe go to: livingslow.co.uk/crediton-community-cookbook/ .
