A VAST quantity of perfumes was stolen during a “ram raid” at Banbury’s store in Gold Street, Tiverton, at around 4.15am on Tuesday, October 18.
Police were called following reports of the alarms going off at the premises.
The police said that it appears that a saloon-type car was used to force the doors to gain access to the store.
A spokesperson added: “People wearing balaclavas managed to steal vast quantities of perfumes, before fleeing the area in the same vehicle up Bampton Street.”
The police are appealing for witnesses and would also like to hear from anyone who has come across any discarded items in the area including perfumes and balaclavas, or who have been offered any perfume for sale.
