THERE are still some spaces left for women and girls to support Cancer UK by entering the Race for Life event in Exeter. Entries will close at midnight on Friday, July 25 and organisers are encouraging mums, daughters, grannies, sisters, friends and workmates, who want to take part in the women-only events, to sign up as soon as possible. Cancer Research UK's Race for Life, in partnership with Tesco, is an inspiring women-only series of 5k and 10k events which raises millions of pounds every year to help beat cancer sooner. Ruth Chamings, event manager for Race for Life for Devon, said: "We are very grateful to the women who have already entered Race for Life in Exeter, but we still have places left so we are urging women to sign up as soon as possible." Women can boost their contribution to Cancer Research UK's work by sorting out their wardrobe and taking redundant items to the Donation Station at the event.
