A JUMBO quiz with a big raffle is to be held to raise funds for Hospiscare on Friday, July 27 at the Mare and Foal, Yeoford, arrive 7.30pm for 8pm start.

Organised by Karen Barry who lives in Yeoford, it will be £2 per person to enter, six people to a team. Either just turn up or telephone 07851 727757 for more information.

Karen said that of every £1 raised, 88p goes directly to patient care, helping patients and their families in the 12-bedded in-patient unit in Exeter, the day care centres in Honiton, Tiverton and Exeter and in patients homes.

Quiz master will be Paul Hobby who usually runs the charity quiz nights at the pub and landlord, Trevor Sawtell, will be serving food part-way through the evening.

It will be general knowledge questions covering a range of topics including music, history, television, sport and so on with a cash prize for the winning team.
