THE Victory Hall at Lapford was packed full for the final Lapford AFC bingo held in December, with more than £900 worth of prizes, including fresh turkeys and many draw prizes.
The jackpot game No 4, which had to be won in 56 numbers, was not won so the money was divided and players were given raffle tickets.
Top winner was Paul Pincombe who received £75, with several other lucky people receiving smaller amounts.
Adrian Mills thanked everyone who has supported them over the past 12 years and to Sara their caller, who took over from Hazel Evely, who had been their caller for many years.
He paid tribute to his mum, Marcia Mills, and his auntie, Gill Gunn, who had regularly organised all the bingo prizes, and to the Football Club helpers.
Adrian presented Marcia with a bouquet as a token of the club’s appreciation over the years. Gill Gunn, was unable to be present for the last evening.
However, it is not the end of Lapford bingos, as Jayne Grover has taken it over, with Sara, and it will be in aid of local Lapford Charities.
The next Meat Bingo will be held on Friday, January 24 at the Victory Hall with eyes down at 7.30pm.
They will then continue on the last Saturday of every month (apart from July), with eyes down at 7.45pm.
