THERE was good support for Pippins Pre-School and Nursery when it held a Fayre on the Square on Saturday, October 14.

Parents, children, as well as family and friends of children who attend the pre-school and nursery, plus visitors and shoppers attended the event where there were a range of stalls and activities.

There was a human fruit machine, which was very amusing, tombola, a fire engine, jewellery, skincare, Splat the Rat, hook-a-duck, fishing, sweets stall, storytelling, cakes stall, nearly new stall, lucky dip, Pippins pots, face painting and a craft stall where children could make key rings, bookmarks, hats and items from scented play dough.

Hazel Hodge, manager at Pippins Pre-School and Nursery, which is located in Union Road, Crediton, said: “Our Fayre was well-supported and we raised £467.70 which we will use to buy some much-needed play equipment.

“I would particularly like to thank the staff and trustee directors for all their help behind the scenes and on the day and everyone who came along.

“Also, I would like to thank Crediton Tesco for apples for the toffee apple prizes and to Jim from ‘Once Read’ for the donation of books to sell.”
