THE recent soup and cheese lunch held at Newton St Cyres Parish Hall raised £439 for parish church funds.

Visitors had the choice of five delicious home-made soups, followed by a range of cheeses and bread and tea /coffee.

There was also a raffle, and a bric-a-brac and cake stall.
