A CHRISTMAS Jumper Coffee Morning, held at Morchard Bishop Memorial Hall on Friday, December 9, raised £423.83 for Save the Children.
Supporters enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine, as well as the opportunity to buy a few last Christmas cards or pick up a bargain or two at one of the many stalls.
Organised by local WI President, Doreen Warren, the event was well-supported by villagers and friends.
Judith Ezard, Save the Children Community Co-ordinator, said that the money raised would make a vast difference to the lives of children all over the world, especially in war-torn Syria and Yemen.
