ALL of the pupils at Crediton's Landscore Primary School took part in a sponsored Santa-thon on Friday, December 8.

The start of the older children’s Santa-thon run from Landscore Primary School.

The Santa-thon involved all of the children doing laps of Tucker’s Meadow and Westernlea in Christmas clothes and fancy dress to raise money for the school's new outdoor classroom.

At 10-minute intervals, starting with the class of oldest children and those in between right down to the reception class, the children were able to walk or run around the half-a-mile route.

The oldest children were able to complete about six laps and the youngest children completed just one lap.

Some of the staff ran the route and marshals were located at intervals.

Parents went along to watch, the Santa-thon ending just before the end of school.

CAN YOU MAKE A DONATION?

Judith Harris, School Business Manager, said afterwards: "We have raised £2,600 so far from the Santa-thon.  We are looking to raise £14,000 for our outside classroom.

"We don't have a Just Giving page but people can contact us at: [email protected] ."

If you can help with a donation, however big or small, please do get in touch with the school.
