LANDSCORE Primary School Parent Teacher Association held its annual Festival on the Field event on Friday, July 5.
It was a warm and sunny evening and the event opened with the Landscore Singers and the school choir singing different songs, which was then followed by performances by young musicians.
There were many games and activities to entertain and the many stalls included plants, Jazzy Jars and a cake stall.
Refreshments were available including food from a barbecue.
The Head Teacher, Mrs Debbie Main, wrote in the school newsletter: “What a fabulous Festival on the Field we had this year!
“Many thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy it. We owe huge thanks to so many people for making it such a major success but we have to start with Rachel Morgan, our PTA chair for her incredible planning and organisational skills.
“Rachel was ably assisted by a dedicated team of helpers, particularly Sally Leach, Elizabeth Dunton, Joanne Kingdon, Carole Bromwell, Sarah Saunders, Sammy Swan, Phil Morgan of Prosound Solutions and many more who all spent many hours preparing and setting up the Festival – without these people and their fabulous support, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy these lovely events.
“We also have to thank many of our local businesses who donated raffle prizes and all the entertainers who did a fabulous job.
“Our very own Year 5/6 opened up the Festival with some incredible singing and were followed by our school choir who brought a tear to many an eye!
“We then had great entertainment from the school band and also from ex-pupils, Oliver Dunton and Kaitlyn Fox who played and sang brilliantly.
“Finally, a big thank you must go to Circus Skills who provided circus workshops and some great stilt walkers. The evening raised over £1,800 which will go towards replacing our adventure playground equipment.”
