POLICE have appealed for witnesses following the death of a man after a single vehicle road traffic collision in Dunsford on Wednesday, April 14.

Emergency services were called to reports of an overturned vehicle on Reedy Hill in Dunsford shortly after 2.30pm.

A Ford Transit flatbed was found on its side at the scene and a 76-year-old man from Exeter had been removed and emergency CPR was being conducted by members of the public.

A Devon Air Ambulance also attended, but sadly and despite everyone’s best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A female passenger was uninjured in the collision.

The road was closed for approximately six hours while police investigations took place and a complicated recovery of the vehicle was undertaken.
