CREDITON Police have issued an awareness message to local residents after a burglary occurred during the afternoon of Monday, September 30 in the Westernlea area of the town.

Residents are reminded to secure their homes and outbuildings. Ensure your windows and doors are locked when you are out, and be mindful of doors and windows left open that are out of your sight when at home.

Please report any suspicious activity via 999 if you believe a crime is taking place.
