MID Devon Police Officers from ‘C’ Section Response and Neighbourhood Officers from Crediton, Cullompton and Tiverton lead by PC Matt Beard, worked together to execute a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant at an address in Bow, on Monday, July 11.

Officers attended the address at 9.30am and because the occupant of the premises was not at home, officers forced entry using powers contained in the warrant.

On searching the house, approximately 36 cannabis plants were found and seized as evidence.

Police said the occupier of the house will be dealt with positively at a later date.

Police Sgt Dave MacFadden, the neighbourhood team leader for Crediton and Cullompton, said: “On receiving community intelligence we were able to approach Exeter magistrates to swear out the warrant.

“This was a positive result for all of us.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank those members of the public who gave us the information.

“I would encourage our communities to continue to tell us about their suspicions surrounding drug use or supply so that we can continue to take positive action against those who are suspected of drugs related offences in our area.

“You can contact us on our emails addresses at: [email protected] or: [email protected]  or you can telephone us on 101 or via Crimestoppers which is anonymous on 0800 555111.”
