NEARLY £1,200 was raised at the annual plant sale in aid of Clannaborough Church, held this year on Bow Village Field.
Stalls bristling with plants and a book stall that also sold cakes, preserves and household items were thronged with buyers. The queue had stretched the width of the field, everyone keeping to social distancing.
Among the vegetables, tomato plants, flowers, trays of herbs were many unusual plants not often found in garden centres. Any left over were to be sold at another event at Bow the following Saturday, May 22.
