THE Witheridge fire crew attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on the outskirts of Black Dog near Thelbridge during the afternoon of Sunday, August 22.

On arrival the crew found the casualty was trapped within the vehicle which was on its side on the public highway.

The crew used small tools and stabilisation equipment which allowed the casualty to self-extricate from the vehicle. The casualty was left in the hands of Ambulance personnel at the scene.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the collision at 2.25pm.
