SATURDAY, November 5 will see the first (of two) full peal attempts on the 12 bells of Holy Cross Church for this winter period.

The peal will begin between 10am and 10.30am and is expected to last up to 3.5 hours.

The ringers will comprise a Devon-based band drawn largely from those who ring at Exeter Cathedral but augmented by one or two persons from Crediton and Lapford.

The method to be rung is “Cambridge Surprise Maximus” and will be conducted by Matthew Hilling who is Ringing Master at the Cathedral.

This will be an opportunity to hear our excellent bells expertly rung in their full splendour.

The second peal attempt will take place in the New Year.
