A PARISH walk will take place on Sunday, August 27, starting at Ash House, Iddesleigh, near Winkleigh (EX19 8SQ), in aid of the Church of St James, Iddesleigh.

It will be a guided circular walk, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Khayat, which will include The River Okement,  Mill Farm, Monks Mill and Weir and The Old Mill at Monkokampton, finishing at the impressive Ash House for a cream tea.

There will also be a chance to see some of the magnificent Ash Stud horses and stables.

Those taking part should note that this walk is roughly four miles long and it is estimated it will take approximately two hours.

Everyone to meet at Ash House, Iddesleigh for a prompt 2pm start, car parking available, sensible footwear advisable and well-behaved dogs on leads will be welcome.

Anyone unable to take part in the walk is welcome to stop at Ash House for a cream tea. Directions will be signed from Iddesleigh and Monkokampton.

The cost is £6 adults, £2 children, payable at the start, cream tea included.  There will also be a Grand Draw.
