FOR many months a dedicated group of people have been producing wooden panels to go around the outside of the big flower beds on Crediton Station.

Just two-thirds of A&E arrivals at the Royal Devon University Healthcare Trust seen within four hoursThe panels are being painted in the traditional London and South Western Railway salmon, as are the buildings and benches. They are copies of typical LSWR panels but are being "planted" upside down. The work is being done by the Friends of Crediton Station.
A supply of timber was organised by David Gosling and Cyril Chudley produced the 200 panels with the pointed tops and holes with a jig. Work began two or three years ago but had to stop because volunteers were not available. Painting has begun again in earnest this spring.
