SMITHS Gore the agents acting for the Downes Estate at Crediton have not responded to our letter dated May 10 2009, nor even acknowledged its receipt.
Is this a snub to the folks of Crediton - or just an oversight on their part?
I was raised to believe it was uncivil to ignore people, no matter what their class or background and to respond to polite written requests.
What has happened to civility and polite practice in the legal profession?
We sent a lengthy and detailed letter explaining our stance on the proposed "western route" and merely requested the Downes Estate to "declare their position formally on the matter".
What have they got to hide? Either they can't answer us - or they won't answer us!
