DESPITE occasional showers, a good number of friends went along to visit Peter and Maureen Keeble and David and Mary Nunn’s gardens in Cheriton Fitzpaine on Saturday, August 11.
Cream teas were served in the Methodist Church and a short film “Eyes of St John” played.
A total of £300 was raised for the St John Eye Hospitals in Jerusalem, Anabta, Hebron and Gaza. There are also outreach vehicles visiting Bedouin and Refugee Camps.
A recent addition is a “Walk In Centre” in the old part of Jerusalem, which is kept very busy, not only with local traders, but also foreign tourists, who are amazed that such a facility exists.
