SEVEN lovely gardens will be open for visiting at Morchard Bishop on Saturday, May 30 as part of St Mary’s Church Morchard Bishop Open Gardens 2026.

Starting in the Memorial Hall from 10am, the gardens can be visited until 6pm.

Entry to gardens will be by programme: £6 adult, £2 children over 5 years.

Bacon Baps, scones, cakes, tea and coffee will be available in the Memorial Hall all day.

There is wheelchair access to the Memorial Hall for food, toilets and stalls.

There will be free parking and a raffle.

• A Car Boot Sale and Barbecue will be held at Lapford Playing Field on Saturday, May 23 from 1pm to 5pm.

Sellers 12 noon, buyers from 1pm, £5 per car, £7 per van. Contact Grace on 07807 019890.

There will be a barbecue in aid of Lapford Congregational Church.

The event is in aid of Lapford Youth Playing Field Trust.

• Crediton Foodbank will have a Clothes Giveaway on Friday, May 29 during its Food Bank cafe hours.

If you have any clothes in good condition for any age group, the Foodbank would be happy to receive them from you.

• From 10.30am to 2pm on Saturday, May 23, Crediton Bowls Taster Day will take place at Crediton Bowling Club.

If you want to give bowls a try, for free, this is the chance.

Wear flat shoes, helpers there to advise.

• Upham Methodist Church Songs of Praise Evening, led by Rev N Lakin and Band and chaired by Jackie Hooper, will take place from 6.30pm on Sunday, May 31.
