FIRE crews from North Tawton, Okehampton and Hatherleigh put out a fire in a derelict building, the old Woollen Mill in North Tawton on Wednesday, October 28.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the fire at 4.09pm.

On arrival crews confirmed the fire was involving flooring within the building and put out the fire using one hose reel jet and by cutting away the floorboards.

Two thermal image cameras were used to check the fire was out.

The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate and the Police were informed.

• Young people have also been reported as spreading graffiti on road signs near the old Woollen Mill.

• Young people were also reported to be "bouncing" on car bonnets in North Tawton car parks.
