TOMORROW Saturday, August 5, local group "Kaleb’s Thumbprint" will hold a Summer Fete at North Tawton Rugby Club to raise vital funds for the charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
The fete will run from 10am to 5pm and include many stalls, a car boot sale (£5 a pitch), pony rides, a draw, bouncy castle, face painting, barbecue, lucky dip, cream tea and much more.
Admission will be free-of-charge.
It was after losing 18-month-old Kaleb that the family, which comes from North Tawton, wanted to raise as much money, and awareness, as possible for what they described as "this fantastic charity."
To-date, the family has raised a great deal of money for the charity through raffles, curry and quiz evenings and other events and Kaleb’s father, Luke Compton, has run many marathons and raised funds through sponsorship and donations.
CHSW runs three hospices, at Little Bridge House at Fremington in North Devon and others in Cornwall and Somerset.
The charity, which works with life-limited children and their families, says it costs more than £8 million each year to run the hospices.
Car boot sellers can book in by telephoning 01837 82443.
