ON Saturday, August 20, a local group "Kaleb’s Thumbprint" will be holding a garage sale, cream teas and prize raffle to raise vital funds for the charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
The events, at 13 Butts Way, North Tawton, will run from 2pm to 4pm.
The events will be the first the CHSW friends group has organised and all the money raised will go to the charity.
It was after losing 18-month old Kaleb last year that the family wanted to raise as much money, and awareness, as possible for what they described as "this fantastic charity."
Luke Compton, from Kaleb’s Thumbprint, said: "We hope that everyone in North Tawton will join us to help raise as many funds as possible for CHSW.
"We wanted to raise funds for CHSW because of its work with life-limited children and their families and we hope the event will be a great success."
CHSW runs three hospices, at Little Bridge House at Fremington in North Devon and others in Cornwall and Somerset.
The charity says it costs more than £8 million each year to run the hospices.
