IT’S my day off and lorries failing to keep to the 10mph speed limit has made me see red, so instead of talking to Persimmon Homes which is a total waste of time along with Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) as no one wants to listen to a long suffering resident of Willow Walk as they clearly do not care one bit, I am taking matters into my own hands.

I am sorry to say that NO ONE is supporting us or standing up for us we are just being bullied from all angles.

It makes me mad when Devon County Council couldn’t build a by-pass on the land due to it being a flood plain, but it is fine to build houses and state it is NOT a flood plain, amazing how powers that be can move the goalposts!

I have taken the matter into my own hands and contacted the lorry companies direct as I am so sick to death of this whole situation.

My job is a long day, hard day and stressful enough at the RD&E Hospital without having all of this on my day off when I would like to relax.

I have explained to the lorry companies why the restrictions are there and that sooner or later someone’s pet could be killed or someone’s child injured, also that no family or lorry driver should be put in that position.

I have said that the site manager has been spoken to along with senior management at Persimmon Homes but they are failing to do anything about enforcing this matter.

So I will, before it is too late, as after the event hindsight is a wonderful thing but a family will have been affected.

I don’t know if it will work, but I have noticed that some of the lorries are now attempting to drive a little slower, God knows how long that will last, maybe just worth going to the companies direct as Persimmon won’t do anything.
