EVERY two years a committee is formed to organise and run the Newton St Cyres Village Revels. The objective is to provide a fun time out for all the family whilst enabling local good causes to raise much needed funds.
This year the event will be held on Sunday, July 8, from 12 noon until 5pm, at the Recreation Ground in Station Road, Newton St Cyres.
There will be a free car park opposite the Recreation Ground, provided courtesy of the Quicke Family, and entrance will be £2.50 for adults, 50p for children under 16 and Under 5’s will be admitted free-of-charge. The organisers regret that no dogs are permitted at the Recreation Ground.
There will be lots of activities to keep visitors entertained including the first visit by Shaun Moon, a Magician.
Additionally there will be a sporting challenge as well as the Giant Inflatable Challenge.
The ceilidh band “Pigs Might Fly” will entertain as well as circus acts by Ben Cornish.
There will be a hog roast and barbecue, bar, French Cafe, teas and cakes.
There will also be a display of martial arts, exhibitions, stalls and other competitions.
