IMOGEN Leyman has Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time powered chair user.
In autumn of last year the family decided to start fundraising to buy her an all-terrain wheelchair and set up a JustGiving page.
They circulated the details to their friends and family and posted on social media.
Imogen’s mum Lucy Leyman said: “To our delight, within six weeks we had raised more than the £16,000 required.
“At the start of the summer holidays Imogen’s new all-terrain chair arrived and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated.
“Particular thanks go to Crediton Freemasons, Teignmouth Freemasons and The Kelly Trust for their generous donations.
“Also to Eakers DIY, Sandford Gate Milk, Camper Coffee, Sandford Orchards who all raised money in different ways and to the family of the late Cynthia Bishop.
The wheelchair is already making a huge difference to what Imogen can access and her family are very grateful to everyone who donated.
