MID Devon Scouts Assistant District Commissioner George Davey went to Bow Scouts camp and invested Lucy Smith as Bow Scouts new Scout Leader.

Bow Scouts recently held a recruitment drive which brought in some new interest, but more help is needed.

The group has members on a waiting list, but without more Leaders, the young people are unable join in the adventure and challenges that Scouts can offer to six-to-14 year-olds.

If you could volunteer with the First Bow Scouts, please contact: [email protected] .

During his visit, George also presented Alex Dobin with his Chief Scout Silver Award.

Next June, Mid Devon Scouts will be holding its first all section District camp, with up to 450 young people camping at Burston Meadows, Bow.
