CREDITON Town Council has launched a new Facebook page.

Whilst the Crediton Town Council page provides a wealth of information from community events to road closures, a new dedicated page has been set up for the Mayor, Councillor Liz Brookes-Hocking.

The page will provide information on events that the Mayor is attending, any issues she thinks are important and is an additional link to the community for consultation.

Mrs Brookes-Hocking said: "The page will be an opportunity for me to highlight some of the brilliant activities that happen in our town and various community events that I’ve been invited to attend.

"I’ll be able to let residents know more about developments that will have an impact on the town, like an increased rail service with the re-opening of the Exeter-Okehampton line later this year.

"It will also be a chance to give up-dates on projects that the town council is taking on.  All-in-all, it’s another way of letting people know what’s going on from the Mayor’s angle and I hope it will be informative."

The new Facebook page is called "Crediton Town Mayor".
