EARLIER in the year Liz Cousins and other parents from Morchard Bishop primary school volunteered to help run a school netball team. They so enjoyed playing that they wondered if there would be any interest in forming a Ladies' Netball Team in Morchard Bishop?
In April a meeting was called and 25 ladies came along - enough for two teams. They play and practise on Morchard Bishop tennis court, if dry and light, or else at Lapford School.
So far they have played three friendlies, won one and lost two.
Next summer they are hoping to join a league. They are looking for an umpire, sponsors or keen players. Please telephone Liz on 01363 877677.>
