CHILDREN from Newton St Cyres Primary School presented the Nativity story in Newton St Cyres Parish Church on Monday and Tuesday, November 4 and 5.

Mr Ankhurst, head of school, said: “It was a fantastic event which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

“All the children performed brilliantly and it was wonderful to see our youngest members of the school so confident on stage in front of a big audience.

“A huge thank you must go to all the staff for their time and dedication in organising such a wonderful spectacle.”

The collection from the performances and a Christingle Service, also held in the Parish Church, raised £161.92, which is to go to the charity, The Children’s Society.
