A PROGRAMME of light classical music entitled “Music for a Summer’s Evening” will be given by the West Wind orchestra at St Matthew’s Church, Cheriton Fitzpaine, on Saturday, August 27.

Starting at 7.30pm, the evening had been organised in conjunction with the Children’s Hospice South West Tiverton Friends Group.

West Wind’s extensive and varied repertoire includes purpose-written music spanning almost three centuries, from Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven to pieces written or arranged especially for the orchestra.

Some of the music played at this concert has been arranged by Tony Summers and Patrick Clements.
