Collection organiser Andrea Martyr of Yeoford said all the collectors, mostly members of the local MS group, had been warmed by the generosity of so many people.
She said the money raised would go towards paying for transport for outings for members. "We have a few people who use wheelchairs all the time," she explained.
"Paying for transport to things such as the physiotherapist are all covered by fundraising," said Andrea.
Rosie Overfield-Collins who lives near Yeoford and who has had MS for some years, added that outings are much appreciated.
"It is always useful to find new places that are wheelchair accessible," she added. "It is nice for us to be able to visit somewhere different."
Store general manager Rob Walker told the Courier that Morrisons would allow three charity collections per month. The store itself is supporting Cancer Research UK this year, a charity nominated by staff. Anyone who wishes to make a collection for a charity at the store should contact Rob.
