BOW Community Primary School classroom assistant, Mrs Shirley Bowden has celebrated her 25th anniversary at the school.

On behalf of the school, Year 6 pupils, Kieran and Thomas presented her with a bouquet of flowers and a large card, which all the children and staff contributed towards.

Mrs Bowden started working at the school in 1992 and some members of staff and many parents remember her from when they were pupils at the school.

Over the years she has worked with children in Reception, Year1 and Year 2.

Headteacher, Mrs Lesley Hodgson said: "Mrs Bowden has delivered lots of help and support to many children.

"She has such a wealth of knowledge and is a valued member of staff.

"25 years is a landmark achievement.

Mrs Bowden will continue to work until the end of the year when she will be retiring and we will all miss her tremendously when she goes."
