GRAPHIC Plc in Crediton gave the town’s local Member of Parliament a tour of its facility on Friday, April 21 and updated him on its plans of the £3 million three-story extension and its new investments in capital equipment.

The business, based on the Lords Meadow Industrial Estate, specialises in manufacturing high quality rigid and flex-rigid printed circuit boards.

The successful and growing business has a turnover of around £20 million a year and has expanded into Dongguan in China.

Chief Executive Officer David Pike, who briefed Central Devon MP Mel Stride on the firm’s plans, said: “Our extension will increase the size of our factory by 20 per cent and allow us to increase our 180-strong local workforce by another 15 or 20.

"We are really excited about expanding the size of our operation here in Crediton which will house the latest advanced technology and set us up well for the next decade of business.”

Mr Stride added: “It is fantastic to see one of Crediton’s major employers doing so well and creating even more jobs. I look forward to returning to see the new extension when completed.”

As well as updating Mr Stride on their ambitious extension Mr Pike also told him about Graphic plc’s work with local schools, colleges and Exeter University in order to encourage new employees and interest within the industry.
