ANGIE Brimilcombe, secretary of Morchard Bishop Playing Fields Association, was delighted with the result of this year’s Vintage Rally and Family Fun Day and would like to thank everyone who helped in any way.

The event raised the most money ever - £4,928 - with many people in the village being involved in one way or another.

Only two tickets were returned in the Balloon Race. The furthest was found at Little Lodge Farm, near Petersfield, Hampshire by Marion Hunt who received a prize of £5. It was purchased by Mary Glover of Copplestone who received £25.

The second furthest balloon was found at Brading on the Isle of Wight by Mrs F Hall who received a prize of £4. This was purchased by Margaret Baker of Morchard Bishop who received £10.

It is a competition well worth entering, so bear it in mind for next year’s Fun Day.
