AS part of their Climate Heroes topic, Miss Maddison’s Year 3 and 4 class at Landscore Primary School signed up to receive a Green Blue Peter Badge.

The class had to complete three pledges which were all aimed at helping the environment.

The children made beeswax wraps in school as a plastic alternative to wrapping food in, they designed and created a local menu to reduce food miles and they tried their best to reduce electricity use in the classroom by turning off appliances when not in use.

The local menu was handmade scones and the children wrapped these in their beeswax wraps.

Class pupil Evie Harris inspired the class to complete the challenge and she received a special certificate for doing so.

The children and staff are all proud of themselves for their achievement and are wearing their badges with pride!
