A TRUE Celebration of Mid Devon Life, the Mid Devon Show will take place at Knightshayes, Tiverton, from 9am to 5.30pm on Saturday, July 24.
Marquees are already going up and the organisers promise an eclectic mix of breathtaking entertainment, food, shopping, music, horticulture and farm life.
Angus Cottey, Show chairman, explained: “We look forward to welcoming the public, traders and Exhibitors to an award winning one day show, especially after the last 18 months of restrictions.
“The food hall and the Magpie marquee are full with traders, the out-field is full with traders and features to keep all entertained.
“The main ring attractions are booked and we have a display to enthrall everyone. There will be the grand parade of livestock as well.
“Tickets are still available to buy either from the show office (01884 820859) or via our website on: www.middevonshow.co.uk .”
Mr Cottey said that the Show charity this year is Hospiscare.
He appealed: “If you are coming to the show, look out for them and please give generously.”
He continued: “It’s been a difficult year for so many people in so many ways, but we are proud to be giving something to the community of Mid Devon, which will showcase the food, produce and skills of so many talented individuals in our area.
“This open air event has been granted the prestigious ‘Good to Go’ certificate from Visit England and we have put in place Covid secure precautions, with one way routes in the marquees, increased hand washing and sanitisation stations and increased signage.
“Whilst there may be a relaxation in these rules prior to show day, we take the health and well-being of the public seriously and some of the precautions are likely to still be in place.
“Mid Devon Show is the single biggest event in the year for our area, we want to welcome people to the show from the Crediton, Cullompton and Tiverton areas and greater Devon.
“We are thankful to Mid Devon District Council for its support and we look forward to seeing everyone at the show on Saturday, July 24.”
• Following the announcement that Covid restrictions are being lifted, this means that tickets for the Show will now be available to purchase at the gate, however, it is strongly recommended these are purchased in advance to take advantage of the price reduction on advanced ticket sales.
