DESPITE the threat of more rain (following a torrential downpour the previous day), the Mid Devon Show on Saturday, July 22 was a great success.

As always, Mid Devon District Council was present and this year representatives took the opportunity of explaining to the public what its Private Sector Housing team do, as well as promoting a forthcoming landlords’ event on November 8 at Muddifords Court.

Colleagues from the Mid Devon Attractions Group were also on-hand to promote all things great about what is going on in Mid Devon.

Private Sector Housing held a colouring competition at the show which saw a lot of families throughout the day. The winners, who were selected by Simon Newcombe, Public Health and Professional Services Manager, were Under Eight’s Jessica Maben (4) and Emilia Crook (4); Over Eight’s Faith Howard (10) and Billy Isaac (12).

They each won an Inflatafun Pass to use at one of the council’s leisure centres, a colouring pen set donated by Cult Pens in Tiverton and a leisure goody bag.
