Mid Devon's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 8pm March 27 to 5am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to 29 lane closure for carriageway reconstruction.

M5, from 9pm March 29 to 6am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 exit slip road closure for electrical works, diversion to junction 26 and return.

A30, from 8pm March 31 to 4am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, South Tawton lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm March 31 to 4am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 to junction 28 lane closure for carriageway repair.

M5, from 10pm April 4 to 6am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 entry slip closed for electrical works. Diversion via southbound to junction 28 and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
