Mid Devon's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start this week:

A30, from 7pm July 18 to 5am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Whiddon Down Lane closure for Horticulture works.

M5, from 8pm July 21 to 6am July 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 exit slip, lane closure on behalf of Western Power.

A30, from 8pm July 25 to 5am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down lane closure for vegetation works.

A30, from 8pm July 27 to 5am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, between Whiddon Down and Woodleigh lane closure for vegetation works.

A30, from 8pm July 29 to 5am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh lane closure for vegetation works.

M5, from 10pm July 29 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 mobile lane closure for surveys.

A30, from 8pm August 1 to 5am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Cheriton Bishop - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting) works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
