Mid Devon's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm July 10 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm July 12 to 4am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 lane closure for barrier repair.

A30, from 7pm July 23 to 6am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh exit slip road closure 24/7 for South West Water works, diversion via Whiddon Down junction.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
