Mid Devon's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm September 3 to 7am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to 29 closed for carriageway - reconstruction / renewal, diversion via B3181, Moor Lane to junction 30.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M5, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 27 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 8pm September 7 to 6am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 8pm September 7 to 6am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 to 28 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 8pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 10pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 to 28 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 8pm September 10 to 7am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to 29 closed for carriageway - reconstruction / renewal, diversion via B3181, Moor Lane to junction 30.
• M5, from 8pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to 29 closed for carriageway - reconstruction / renewal, diversion via B3181, Moor Lane to junction 30.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
