MID Devon District Council has issued a warning to residents of the district of a Council Tax scam claiming to be from HMRC.

The council warns that anyone receiving such an email from HMRC at an address in Parliament Street, London, and offering a refund on Council Tax to NOT click into the link within the email.

It warns that HMRC does not handle Council Tax.
